Résumé du programme

It is the most famous museum in the world. Every year 9 million visitors come to admire the 38,000 works on show, of which the most famous are the Joconde, the Venus de Milo, the Winged Victory of Samothrace and the Seated Scribe.
The Louvre is also a palace, with its pyramid and Tuileries Gardens. To keep this giant institution of 200,000m2 running, 2000 employees work full time behind the scenes. For the first time, the Louvre has allowed a film crew to delve behind the scenes from day to night. Over a period of 6 months, we are going to be able to film in a place where, until this point, no camera has ever been before…

We are going to follow staff members while they run their errands, which include handling invaluable masterpieces.

Caroline is organising an historical event, the arrival of an Egyptian sarcophagus dating back 800 years BC…

Alex and David are night guards. For the first time, we are going to discover what happens in the Louvre at night…

Côme is a treasure hunter, he will cross the country to recover Delacroix tableaus for an exhibition…

Carole and Sébastien will manage an unusual construction site, Napolean III’s apartments needs to be dusted and cleaned up completely. Some unusual housework…

Isabelle is the Tuileries Gardens’ head gardener. She will be restoring a basin and a grove adorned with statues that are inspired by the works in the Louvre. That is 4 months of work…

Daniel is the Louvre’s biggest fan. He comes once a week never misses a visit…
